Klaravich Stables’ Program Trading (GB) proved best in the $500,000 United Nations (G2) under jockey Flavien Prat, winning by 2¾ lengths over Uncle’s Gold.
Trained by Chad Brown, the son of Lope De Vega completed the 1⅜- mile turf contest in 2:19.77 and paid $3.80 as the 4-5 favorite. Saturday’s victory marked the second consecutive year Klaravich Stables, Brown, and Prat won the race, following Redistricting’s victory in last year’s edition. It was also the fourth time in the past six years Brown and Prat have teamed up to win the United Nations.
A dual Grade 1 winner at 3, Program Trading is one of the recent stars to emerge from the Hidden Brook Florida training center. So far in 2026, Hidden Brook Florida grads have won a total of 24 races and won or placed in 9 blacktype events.
Program Trading sat well off the pace set by Uncle’s Gold and Just A Touch, who set fractions of :24.29, 49.62 and 1:15.35 through six furlongs. On the far turn, Program Trading steadily passed horses and made a wide bid into the stretch. He found another gear in the lane and drew clear for a comfortable victory.
Thundering was third in the field of seven.
“The pace was right and he relaxed well for me,” said Prat, who enjoyed his third stakes win on the card, and fourth overall on the day, following the Monmouth Cup (G3) with Knightsbridge and Molly Pitcher (G2) with Splendora, which bookended an optional claiming score in Race 5 Midway Memories. “Everything went well, the soft ground, a good pace, and he relaxed well for me. It’s good to see him back at this top level. I think this race will give him a ton of confidence and that’s what he needed.”
Program Trading was purchased at the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for $356,551. He is out of the Oasis Dream mare Dreamlike. Through 15 career starts, he owns a record of 7-3-1 with earnings of more than $2 million.
