Stakes-Placed Prosecco Rita Wins Again for the Hidden Brook Racing Partnership

December 7, 2025

Prosecco Rita romped at second asking to break her maiden by 9 1/4 lengths over the local course going seven furlongs Oct. 10. Second by just three-quarters of a length in the Smart Halo Stakes last out on course and distance, she was slammed into 1-5 favoritism when dropping in to Allowance company.

Setting an easy pace up front, she got away from the field up the backstretch but was joined into the far turn by Sweet Shenanigans. That pair dueled to the furlong pole before Prosecco Rita finally went clear to lead her rival in by 2 1/2 lengths.

A daughter of leading first crop sire Yaupon, Prosecco Rita is the latest good one to race for the Hidden Brook Farm Racing Partnership. She was purchased for $200,000 at the 2024 Keeneland September yearling sale.
