Graded Stakes Placed Courtesan added to the Hidden Brook program’s 2015 stakes tally with a score in the mile and three eighths Keertana Stakes at Churchill Downs Saturday.
The daughter of Street Sense was sold by Hidden Brook in the 2012 Keeneland September yearling sale for breeder Ocala Stud, Joseph O’Farrell and David O’Farrell, et al, and is owned by Ramona S. Bass LLC.
Trained by Christophe Clement, Courtesan’s most recent effort prior to winning the Keertana Stakes was a fourth place finish in the Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes on the turf at Keeneland.
Stalking the pace for nearly a mile and a quarter, Courtesan rated perfectly under the gudance of Corey Lanerie before nailing the leader in late stretch by a neck.
