October Grad Carpenters Call Dials Up a Victory in Peach Tree Stakes

Carpenters Call sat mid pack in the early stages of the $100,000 Peach Tree Stakes at Presque Isle Downs before surging to the lead and rolling on to a 1 1/4 length tally.

The favored son of WinStar Farm´s Tourist earned a 113 Equibase Speed figure for the sterling effort, his 7th straight double-digit figure. He´s now won 5 times in 11 starts and he´s picked up checks in three other outings, including a 3rd-place run in the Grade 3 Kitten´s Joy Stakes in early April.

Carpenters Call was sold by Hidden Brook Farm at the 2019 Fasig-Tipton October yearling sale and is the third Hidden Brook sales grad in the past 3 days to score a Stakes victory. He was preceded by record-setting Queen´s Plate heroine Moira and the unbeaten juvenile Philip My Dear, winner of the Soaring Free Stakes at Woodbine. The latter two are graduates of the Keeneland September sale.
