Hidden Brook Farm and Joseph Anne McMahon’s Bank Sting broke on top and never looked back in the $200,000 Critical Eye capping off the Memorial Day Big Apple Showcase card at Belmont Park.
Entering the Critical Eye for older fillies and mares on a three-race win streak, Bank Sting, a 4-year-old daughter of Central Banker, was again resilient in the stretch of the one-mile dirt race, fending off a stubborn Good Credence to complete the distance in 1:36.34.
Trained by John Terranova and ridden perfectly by Kendrick Carmouche, Bank Sting is now a winner of four of her first five starts, earning $258,000 along the way.
She is also the latest Stakes-winning graduate of the famed Hidden Brook Florida training center in Ocala.
