Hidden Brook partnership mare Neck of the Moon returned after a freshening to run impressively in her first start of 2016.
Debuting in a Belmont allowance, the 6-year-old More Than Ready mare made a sweeping move on the turn and nearly nabbed the win from Stormy Victoria, who set a new course record in the seven-furlong, $80,000 event.
Trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Angel S. Arroyo, New York-bred, stakes placed Neck of the Moon has earned $287,245 with a record of 16-4-4-5.
