At the 41st Annual Sovereign Awards, Canada’s highest awards for Thoroughbred racing, held on Friday at Woodbine Race Track, Hidden Brook alumnus RIKER earned top honors in the Two-Year-Old Male category.
Riker, a son of Include, out of the Unreal Zeal mare Desviacion was bred in Kentucky by Turner Breeders, and owned by Team Valor, Gary Barber and Tucci Stables. Trained by Mark Casse, Riker dominated the juvenile division with four wins from five starts, a$273,540 bankroll,and three black-type scores in the G3 Grey Stakes, the Swynfoird Stakes and the Colin Stakes.
