Notching his third Graded Stakes win in a row, Hidden Brook-raised Finnegans Wake gave owner/breeder Jerry Crawford another victory at Santa Anita in the San Marcos S.-G2.
Settling in at the back of the pack early, Finnegans Wake was asked to close into the final turn by rider Victor Espinoza, displaying a huge turn of foot to best the field by a length.
Trained by Peter Miller, the son of Powerscourt (GB) out of the Silver Ghost mare Boat’s Ghost, now has earnings of $1,065,375.
