Hidden Brook Graduate Forest Chatter tallied his first stakes score earlier this week with a gritty stretch run in the $100,500 California Flag Handicap at Santa Anita.
Under a cool ride by Mike Smith, the bay son of Dixie Chatter loomed from the outside of the field before flattening out in a gutsy stretch run to hold off Somethings Unusual by a head.
Bred in Kentcuky by Hidden Brook client Herman Sarkowsky, Forest Chatter is out of the Forest Wildcat mare Wild Forest.
Undefeated now in all five tries on this this turf course, Forest Chatteris owned by Pam and Marty Wygod, and trained by Richard Mandella.
