COACH INGE newest Graded Stakes winner!

Sunday, June 7, 2015

Coach Inge, born and raised at Hidden Brook, kicked home to defeat a full field in the G2 Brooklyn Invitational on an electrifying Belmont day that saw American Pharoah become the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years.
Closely following the pace in a tightly packed herd under the guidance of John Velazquez, Coach Inge tracked the leaders through most of the mile-and-a-half test before grabbing the lead and tenaciously hanging on for the win.
Making his stakes debut in the G2 Brooklyn for conditioner Todd Pletcher and owner Repole Stable, the bay son of Big Brown was last seen trouncing an allowance field at Aqueduct in April.
Bred by Paul Pompa Jr. at Hidden Brook, from the Holy Bull mare Touch Too Much, Coach Ingewas sold as a two-year-old in training at the 2013 Ocala Breeder’s Sales Company’s March sale. The graded stakes score in the Brooklyn improved his bankroll to $367,177.
